I am one of the few millennials and semi-recent college graduates (2011) that am lucky enough to have a full-time job that relates to my college degree. For the past seven months, I’ve been working as the marketing and communications specialist at Good Shepherd Penn Partners, which is the official therapy provider of Penn Medicine.
As I’ve shared previously, my non-profit career has given me the opportunity to share the stories of inspirational people who are living examples of the resilience of the human spirit.
Over the past few months, I’ve worked to set up the organization’s official blog, Next Chapter. It is a place where people can learn about the essence of the organization. It shows the compassionate care offered from the staff members that go above and beyond to help patients regain their lives. The faces of patients and their lovers show that health disasters can strike anyone when they least expect it.
Sometimes I have to take a step back and realize how fortunate I am to be able to create something this for an organization- and get paid for it! Who knew when I wanted to a writer growing up that it would actually come true, n more ways than one.
You can read the blog, which is updated twice a week, by clicking here. Here are a few of my recent pieces, take a look and be inspired!
